What We Do

We help property owners, builders, architects and developers navigate bushfire compliance and planning approvals across the Macedon Ranges and Victoria.

Whether you're building a new home in a bushfire-prone area, extending an existing property, subdividing land, or dealing with a planning permit refusal, we provide the expert assessments and advice you need to move your project forward.

How It Works

  • Step 1 - Initial conversation: Call or email to tell us about your project. We'll let you know what's needed and provide a quote, usually within 24 hours.

  • Step 2 - Site assessment: We visit your property to assess vegetation, slope, and other relevant factors.

  • Step 3 - Report delivery: You receive a detailed, professionally prepared report that meets council and CFA requirements.

  • Step 4 - Ongoing support: We respond to any council queries and support your project through to approval.

Why Choose MRBP

We live and work in the Macedon Ranges. We're not a Melbourne firm sending someone up for the day - we know the local landscape, the local council, and the specific challenges of building in this region.

Nathan Aikman has a degree in Town Planning and also Bushfire Protection and Development. He is an FPAA BPAD accredited bushfire consultant with over 15 years of town planning experience working across local and state government. That experience means we know exactly what council expects, and we prepare assessments that get approved without unnecessary delays.

We focus on practical outcomes. Our job isn't just to produce a report - it's to help you get your project across the line.
